History of The Victorian House

The earliest recorded deed for this property dates back to September 15, 1890. Since then, ten families have lovingly called 402 East Street their home.

We believe the house is a Sears & Roebuck kit home, a piece of American architectural history. Original features like the working Sears & Roebuck locks are still intact, offering a charming glimpse into the past.

Over the years, the home has been meticulously maintained to preserve its historic character and integrity. Hallmarks of Victorian interior design—such as gorgeous hardwood floors, functional transom windows, and intricate fretwork—showcase the craftsmanship, elegance, and attention to detail that defined the era.
